The Choice: LOVE_IDENTITY is a 10-minute documentary that explores the impacts cross-cultural marriages have on identity. This personal documentary takes a close look at Arin’s and Jamil’s marriage; the challenges they faced, such as the families coming to accept this union; the wedding ceremony they had in comparison to other pure Armenian wedding ceremonies; and finally how they are raising their daughter to speak 3 languages and be the bridge between both cultures.
 

The title of the documentary demonstrates that an identity can be preserved in an intercultural marriage; the title also shows that there is a gap that can be bridged if the couple is mature and understanding enough of each others’ cultures.
