Blocking & Rotoscoping

Motion Graphics

The blocking is a simplified version of the rotoscoping done on Adobe After Effects using flat shapes. Additional background elements and sounds were added to create an environment.

The rotoscoping is a playblast of 40 frames, 12 frames per second, that were individually drawn and colored on Adobe Photoshop. The loopable video shows the development of a sequence of drawings that outline the overall form by using lines to better define the volume of the 3D form. By doing so, the aim of this project was to capture the subject’s basic movement as precise as possible.

The playblast is  loopable and had to be stabilized for it to be ready for the blocking stage.
